Terms of Service

Srijan ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Srijan, a registered proprietary firm (srijan.online), and Scriptory by Nexora Productions, a registered proprietary firm (scriptory.ink) — both registered in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

We operate two products under these terms: the Srijan academy (srijan.online) — recorded masterclasses and live, instructor-led classes — and Scriptory (scriptory.ink), a screenwriting and production planning tool. One account works across both. Where a clause applies to only one product, it says so.

You must be at least 16 to hold an account, or have a parent or guardian's consent. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done through your account.

One device at a time. Each account may be signed in on one device per product. Signing in elsewhere signs out the previous device. This is deliberate and is not a fault.

Accounts are personal. Sharing an account, or using one account to give several people access to paid features, is a breach of these terms. Scriptory's Studio plan exists for teams.

You own everything you write. We claim no ownership of your scripts, notes, storyboards, production documents or any other material you create or upload.

You grant us only the limited licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, display it back to you and to people you share it with, process it to provide features you use (formatting, export, breakdown, scheduling, AI assistance), and back it up. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for backups that expire on our ordinary retention cycle.

We do not use your scripts to train AI models, and we do not sell your content or share it with anyone except the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, who process it only to deliver the feature you asked for.

You can export your work at any time, on any plan including the free one, in Word, Fountain, plain text and PDF formats.

Scriptory has a free tier and paid tiers (Pro and Studio), billed monthly or yearly in Indian rupees. Current prices are on the pricing page. All sales are final — see the Refund Policy. The free tier exists so you can evaluate the product in full before paying anything.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.

If you stop paying, your work is not deleted. Your account returns to the free tier's limits for creating and exporting, but existing scripts remain and remain exportable.

We may change prices. An increase will not affect a billing period you have already paid for, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to a renewal.

Discounted pricing. Student pricing requires verification and may be withdrawn if the verification proves inaccurate. Founding-member pricing applies to the first year only and then renews at the standard rate. Both carry the same features as Pro.

Recorded masterclasses are sold as one-time purchases and, once purchased, remain available to you for as long as we operate the course, with a minimum of 12 months from purchase. Course and live-class purchases are final. If we retire a course within that period we will tell you in advance and give you a way to keep what you have paid for.

Live classes are sold as a batch — a specific cohort meeting at specific times, stated in India Standard Time. Once a batch has been sold, its scheduled times cannot be changed. Missing a live session does not by itself entitle you to a refund; see the Refund Policy.

Recordings of live sessions are made available where technically possible but are not guaranteed.

Seats are limited. We will not sell more places than the smallest session on a course can hold.

Scriptory includes AI assistance — inline suggestions, margin notes, chat, formatting, diagnostics, shot suggestions and image generation. To provide these we send the relevant part of your content to third-party model providers, listed in our Privacy Policy.

AI output is a suggestion, not a product warranty. It may be wrong, unoriginal, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing anything you accept into your work. Nothing the AI proposes enters your script until you accept it.

Estimates are estimates. Shooting schedules, budget figures, page counts and runtimes are computed from your own document to help you plan. They are not professional production, financial or legal advice, and must not be relied on as a quote or a contract.

Free accounts have monthly or weekly allowances on AI features. We may adjust these allowances with notice.

Some features let you supply your own third-party API key. If you do, that provider bills you directly under your own agreement with them, and their terms govern that usage. We encrypt stored keys and never display them back to you in full. We are not responsible for charges you incur with that provider.

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Upload unlawful material, or material that sexualises minors.
• Record, copy, redistribute or resell course or live-class material.
• Share, resell or sublicense your account access.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, plan gating, payment, or our security measures.
• Scrape the service, or use automated means to extract content beyond your own.
• Interfere with the service or with other users' use of it.

Course and class material is licensed to you for personal learning. It is not yours to redistribute.

You can invite collaborators to a script. The number of collaborators depends on the owner's plan. Anyone you give edit access can change the document; anyone you give read access can view and comment. You are responsible for who you invite.

Where a script is created as coursework, the instructor for that course can view and comment on it but cannot edit it.

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. If we withdraw a paid feature materially, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion of your current period.

Some features depend on third parties — payment processing, email delivery, AI providers, video infrastructure — and may be affected by their outages.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so. Where a breach is minor and fixable, we will normally ask you to fix it first.

On closure you can export your content. We delete or anonymise personal data on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss of content where you had the ability to export and retain it.

Keep your own copies. Export matters. We take backups but you should not rely on us as your only copy of a script.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the product. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change; if you do not, you can cancel and we will refund the unused portion of your current period.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Nagpur have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere you keep any rights to bring proceedings in your own country that your local law gives you.
